FAW-GM Light Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to
as "FAW-GM" or the "Company") is a joint venture between China FAW
Group Co., Ltd. and General Motors (China) Investment Co., Ltd.
Since May 31, 2006, both parties of the joint venture have made
intentional contacts on cooperation matters, and on July 27, 2009,
FAW-GM was officially registered and established. The registered
capital of the company is 1.2 billion yuan, and both parties hold
50% of the shares. The joint venture period is 30 years, and the
joint venture company is registered in Changchun Automobile
Industry Development Zone, Jilin Province.
For business needs, the company has two production bases, FAW
Harbin Light Vehicle Co., Ltd. and FAW-GM Hongta Yunnan Automobile
Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The total construction area of the base
is 368,100 square meters. It has four major production lines of
stamping, body welding, electrophoresis coating, and final
assembly, as well as three major assembly production lines of
frame, box and axle. It has a product spectrum including light
trucks of 1 ton, 2 tons, 3 tons, pickup series, engineering
vehicles, and MPV series. The export method includes vehicle export
and CKD, SKD assembly, and has assembly plants in Russia, Ukraine,
Mexico, Vietnam, and has been exported to more than 20 countries
and regions in Southeast Asia, America, and the Middle East.

On November 30, 2018, a white Jiefang J7 drove the production line
of the final assembly workshop of FAW Jiefang Truck Plant, marking
the 7 millionth Jiefang truck independently developed by my country
officially rolled off the assembly line in Changchun. According to
the plan, Jiefang will achieve the strategic goal of selling
350,000 vehicles in 2020, 430,000 vehicles in 2023, and 500,000
vehicles in 2025.
